The Central Bank of India, one of India’s oldest and most trusted public sector banks, has announced a major recruitment drive to fill 4,500 Apprentice posts under the Apprentices Act, 1961. This program offers fresh graduates an excellent opportunity to gain real-world banking experience over a one-year training period. The apprenticeship is not a permanent job but serves as a gateway for future employment based on performance, merit, and bank requirements.

Eligible candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Applicants should be between 20 to 28 years of age as of March 31, 2025, with relaxation provided to reserved categories as per government norms. The selection process comprises two stages: an Online Written Examination followed by a Local Language Proficiency Test. Candidates who perform well and qualify in both stages will be shortlisted for training across different rural, semi-urban, urban, and metro branches.

Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend based on branch location:

₹10,000 in rural/semi-urban areas

₹12,000 in urban areas

₹15,000 in metro cities

The application process is entirely online, and candidates can apply through the bank’s official website.
