Test Structure

The Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology Entrance Examination for the year 2026, is an entrance exam for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate programs at KIIT University. The KIITEE exam is conducted for admissions to 35 courses offered at KIIT. The syllabus and exam pattern of KIITEE vary for each course.


Details:

Purpose: KIITEE is a common entrance test for admission to various UG and PG programs at KIIT University, excluding MBBS, BDS, PG Medical & PG Dental courses.

Exam Conducted by: Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT). 

Exam Level: National Level. 

Exam Frequency: The exam is conducted multiple times a year (as per the last year). 

Admission Process: KIITEE scores are used for admission to various courses, and separate merit lists are drawn for each course. 


Key Points about KIITEE 2026:

•Application Process:

The KIITEE application form for Phase I of 2025 was released on November 10, 2024, and the last date to submit the form was April 8, 2025. The application process for Phase II was also opened, and the registration deadline was June 8, 2025. 

•Exam Dates:

The KIITEE Phase I exam was held from April 16 to April 20, 2025. KIITEE Phase II exam dates are expected to be announced soon. 


Exam Pattern 

Mode of Exam:

•Online (Computer-Based Test), either from home (Remote Proctored) or at a test center.

Medium of Exam:

•English only.

Type of Questions:

All questions are Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

Total Number of Questions:

•120 questions in total.

Subjects Covered:

•Physics – 40 questions

•Chemistry – 40 questions

•Mathematics – 40 questions

(Biology instead of Math for B.Sc Nursing applicants)

Total Duration:

•3 hours (180 minutes).

•No section-wise time limit.

Marking Scheme:

•+4 marks for each correct answer.

•–1 mark for each incorrect answer (negative marking).

•0 marks for unattempted questions.

Question Distribution:

•Equal weightage to all three subjects – each subject carries 160 marks (40 questions × 4 marks).

Navigation:

•Candidates can freely move between questions and sections during the exam.

Scoring & Results:

•Results are declared on the official website with an individual rank card.

Attempts:

•You can appear in multiple KIITEE phases (if offered), and the best score is considered.
