The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the NDA (National Defence Academy) 2026 exam schedule. NDA 1 will be held on April 12, 2026, and NDA 2 on September 13, 2026. The notification for NDA 1 will be released on December 10, 2025, and the application window will be open from December 10 to 30, 2025. The notification for NDA 2 will be released on May 20, 2026, and the application window will be open from May 20 to June 9, 2026.

Eligibility:
• Candidates must be between 16.5 and 19.5 years of age on the date of the exam.
• For NDA 1, both male and female candidates must born between July 2, 2005 - July 1, 2008.
• For NDA 2, only unmarried male/female candidates between January 2, 2006 - January 1, 2009, are eligible.
• Candidates must have passed their 12th standard (or equivalent).

The NDA exam is a national-level entrance test conducted by UPSC for admission to the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of the National Defence Academy and Indian Naval Academy (INAC).

Yes, girls are eligible to apply for NDA. The Supreme Court permitted female candidates starting from NDA 2, 2021 onward.
There is no limit on attempts, but candidates must be within the age range (16.5 to 19.5 years) at the time of the exam.
