Exam Date: August 17, 2025
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially announced the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) Examination (II), 2025, opening doors for young aspirants who dream of serving the nation by joining the prestigious Indian Armed Forces. Through this nationwide competitive examination, UPSC is inviting applications to fill 406 vacancies across the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of the NDA and the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme of the Indian Naval Academy.
This recruitment drive is being conducted to select eligible candidates for admission to the 156th NDA course and the 118th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC), both scheduled to commence in July 2026. The examination offers an excellent opportunity for Class 12th pass students to secure a highly respected and adventurous career in defense services, undergoing rigorous academic and physical training at elite academies like the NDA in Khadakwasla and INA in Ezhimala.
What makes the NDA exam especially prestigious is that it is one of the very few national-level exams that allow candidates to join the Armed Forces right after completing school. It also includes opportunities for female candidates, continuing the progressive inclusion of women in combat and leadership roles within the Indian military.
Candidates selected through this examination will undergo training to become future officers in the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Air Force, where they will serve with honor, courage, and commitment to the defense of India.
This recruitment is not just about securing a job — it’s about building a life of purpose, discipline, and leadership in one of the most respected institutions in the country.
